Ambrosia Maple has a creamy background, but streaks of blues and grays, and often some small holes. These holes are the result of the Ambrosia Beetle that burrows into the tree and carries with it a fungus that then spreads throughout the grain, tinting it blues and grays. This piece also has some gentle birdseye (small dots) figure to it as well, making it a fairly unique board.
Gentle washing with warm water, and occasional care with food safe finish will keep this looking beautiful and lasting for many years.
